While I was deep into hip hop in the 90’s, I slowly started to fade away from it in the early 2000’s. I guess I didn’t love what was popular hip hop and rap, and didn’t feel like I wanted to dig to find something more interesting as I got into other genres of music. That being said, I always try to keep an ear out for new acts that have that classic hip hop sound or artists who use their platform creatively. I think Chicago emcee Goodbye Tomorrow does both.
Not much is known about Goodbye Tomorrow. Seriously. It’s not publicly known if its one person, a group, who they are, what they look like, etc. What I do know is this is a dope track, has a super creative video and the complimentary website is also a must see as it connects to the artistic direction of the video and the old 90’s DOS/Windows vibe.
Check out this track “JAY Z” by Goodbye Tomorrow and let me know what you think!
